Emergency personnel who responded found the man's body on the edge of the Mine Road more than 1.5 miles east of the Pinto Basin Road. A few hours later, deputies found the body of a female along the same road, about a mile east of the man, a release from the Riverside (California) County Sheriff's Department said.

Never underestimate the desert heat, alway carry lots of water and stay with your car. The car get stuck about 5 miles in on Black Mountain Road, they tried to walk out. It is an uphill walk and it was 106 at the time, they had a limited supply of water.

Joshua Tree: Todesopfer aus Deutschland und Holland
Der 44-jährige Musikproduzent aus Holland und seine 38-jährige Freundin befuhren mit ihrer Limousine am Montag gegen Mittag eine einsame Sandpiste, die nach Arizona führt. Sieben Stunden später fanden Parkbesucher den Mann tot am Straßenrand. Die Leiche der Frau aus Deutschland entdeckten Mitarbeiter des Sheriffs eine Meile entfernt auf der gleichen Straße.
