Eine Versteigerung von 75 Gitarren und 55 Verstärkern aus der Sammlung von Sänger Eric Clapton hat in New York insgesamt 2,15 Millionen Dollar eingebracht. Unter anderem wechselte eine Kopie einer Gitarre Claptons am Mittwoch für 30'500 Dollar den Besitzer. Auf dem versteigerten Exemplar waren Brandflecken nachgebildet worden, die auf dem Original von Clapton durch Zigaretten verursacht worden waren.
