Travellers' plans are likely to be thrown into chaos in March with BA staff set to announce a fresh wave of strikes next week. Unite, the union which represents more than 95 per cent of BA's cabin crew, is due to announce the results of a strike ballot on Monday. The possibility of staff walking out was made more likely after the union lost a court case against the management on Friday. The cabin crew union claimed BA had broken staff contracts when they decided, in November last year, to reduce the number of cabin crew on long-haul flights from 15 to 14.
