RV maker Winnebago Industries Inc. posted a loss for its fiscal second quarter on Thursday, joining a long list of other major RV manufacturers reporting similar sales declines in the dismally depressed RV market.

The Forest City, Iowa company reported that it lost $10.4 million, or 36 cents per share, in the quarter ended Feb. 28. That's compared with a profit of $2.5 million, or nine cents per share, in the same quarter last year. Revenue nosedived 81 percent to $31.8 million from $164.2 million, falling short of analysts' estimates of $42.7 million.
