Boondocking in Quartzsite

Printer-friendly versionSend to friend

Earlier this week I spent a couple of days in Quartzsite, Arizona -- Ground Zero for boondocking RVers. Although there are many RV parks in the town of 3,400, most RVers squat on surrounding government lands. Many stay for free, others for about a dollar a day in one of the federal government's Long Term Visitor Areas (LTVAs). Camp where you want: just find a piece of reasonably level desert, cut your engine and level up. If you plan to stay weeks or months, then solar panels are a good idea to power your toaster and microwave.
